Introducing: Perpetuum

Ambitious does not even begin to describe new Sci-fi MMO Perpetuum. Hungarian developer Avatar Creations are working towards bringing us the first mech-based MMO in a single persistent world. Players will be able to pilot mammoth war machines in a bid to control, terraform and mine large sections of the game world.

Perpetuum seems to offer something for everyone, weather you are a scurrilous PVP pirate or a power-hungry warlord, intent on dominating the universe.

The war for power will take place in large-scale PVP battles between player-formed corporations, funded by the trade of natural resources in an intricate global economy. Veteran MMO players will be pleased to hear Perpetuum is also designed to be “grind-free” allowing player avatars to gain experience, even when they are not logged in.

Perpetuum is currently in closed beta. If you would like to register for a closed beta account or to find out anything else about the game, you can do so here: http://www.perpetuum-online.com We’ll have more info on the game as soon as it’s available – so watch this space!

Ahh, seems a pleasant change from MMOs with dragons and elves and whatnot! Well if the skill learning process is similar to eve then i’m a happy bunny, never had the time to grind on WoW. Nice artwork too.

Sounds like a Mechwarrior style MMO? And some of those designs remind me of that old Robotix cartoon / toy series.

    Colour me VERY interested…

It looks like an MMO Mechwarrior! As long as there’s no latency – it could be awesome.
